National Center of Meteorology forecasts a cooling trend across the emirates, accompanied by overnight humidity, fog formation, and potential rain from Monday.

ABU DHABI, July 25, 2026:Temperatures across the United Arab Emirates are set to ease slightly starting Saturday, as a shift in weather patterns brings overnight fog, fresher winds, and a chance of rainfall to eastern and southern regions early next week, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

The National Center of Meteorology reported that Saturday will remain fair overall, with low clouds forming over eastern areas during the morning hours. Daytime temperatures are projected to reach between 39°C and 45°C along coastal and island areas, 44°C to 47°C in inland districts, and 33°C to 38°C across mountainous regions. Light to moderate winds will blow between 10 km/h and 20 km/h, reaching gusts of up to 30 km/h. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will remain calm and slight.

A gradual cooling trend will pick up momentum on Sunday, with daytime maximums dropping across several parts of the country. Humidity levels are expected to climb overnight into Monday morning, raising the probability of fog or light mist over inland and coastal stretches. Wind speeds on Sunday could reach 35 km/h, though waters in both seas are expected to remain generally calm.

Atmospheric conditions will turn more unsettled starting Monday. Formations of convective clouds over eastern areas during the afternoon hours are forecast to bring localized showers. Sustained overnight humidity into Tuesday morning will maintain conditions conducive to morning fog.

Wind speeds are expected to intensify on Monday, reaching up to 40 km/h in exposed areas, triggering blowing dust and reduced visibility. The NCM warned that sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may turn moderate to rough at times during this period.

Fair to partly cloudy conditions will dominate on Tuesday and Wednesday, though convective cloud development will continue over eastern and southern territories. These cloud formations could trigger further localized rain showers. Fresh northwesterly winds will blow periodically, while marine conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
