Elite UCI WorldTour stage races return to the Emirates in February 2027 as Abu Dhabi builds momentum toward the 2028 UCI Road World Championships
ABU DHABI — The fifth edition of the UAE Tour Women will run from February 3 to 6, 2027, followed by the ninth edition of the men’s UAE Tour from February 15 to 21, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council announced on Thursday.
Organized alongside world cycling’s governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the two multi-stage fixtures will open the Middle East segment of the 2027 elite professional road racing calendar.
The races will bring top-tier UCI WorldTeams and elite riders back to the Emirates, testing them across flat crosswind desert corridors, city sprints, and demanding mountain ascents across the country’s diverse topography.
AD Ports Group will return as the presenting partner for both races under an agreement extended from 2026. The partnership focuses on backing professional sports growth, youth participation, and community-level cycling initiatives across the country.
Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, highlighted that hosting the twin UCI races strengthens the country’s standing in high-performance sport while encouraging active recreation locally.
“The organization of the UAE Tour Women and UAE Tour Men 2027, in collaboration with the Union Cycliste Internationale, once again underlines the distinguished position the UAE has achieved on the global sporting stage,” Al Awani said. He credited the races with cementing the Emirates’ reputation as a reliable destination for premier global competitions.
Both 2027 editions serve as key developmental stepping stones toward the UCI Road World Championships, which Abu Dhabi will stage in 2028. Route details, team lineups, and stage profiles will be confirmed by organizers in late 2026.
