Unveiled at the 9th Sharjah Investment Forum, the conversational tool delivers real-time property matches, backed by data partnerships with Property Finder, Bayut, and municipal authorities.
SHARJAH, Oct. 14, 2026 : The Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) has launched ‘Najm’, a dedicated artificial intelligence agent engineered to match international and domestic businesses with commercial land, factories, and industrial facilities in real time.
The tool debuted Wednesday morning during the opening session of the ninth Sharjah Investment Forum at the Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), attended the launch.
Conceived to reduce friction in site selection, Najm operates via a conversational interface. Prospective business owners submit specifications—including facility sizes, target districts, operational models, and capital allocations—and receive tailored opportunities within seconds.
“The initiative began with a specific challenge: how do we deliver the right information to the right investor the exact moment they need it?” said Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, Chief Executive Officer of Invest in Sharjah. “Najm enables investors to engage directly, ask granular follow-up questions, and refine search parameters immediately.”
During an on-stage demonstration, Al Musharrkh simulated a query from a European industrialist seeking a 50,000-square-foot site for an estimated Dh150 million manufacturing plant. The platform mapped zoning classifications, filtered relevant infrastructure, and returned available plots before adjusting parameters based on secondary queries.
To anchor its calculations in verified market data, Invest in Sharjah signed three separate memoranda of understanding on Wednesday. The first agreement, inked with the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey, gives the system direct reference to official municipal zoning and land allocations. The remaining two tie-ups integrate Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) from property portals Property Finder and Bayut, incorporating active commercial and industrial inventories directly into Najm’s retrieval pipeline.
The phased rollout addresses industrial and logistics properties first, targeting manufacturing plants, warehouses, and open commercial plots. A second phase, scheduled to follow, will extend the algorithm to greenfield and brownfield assets across healthcare, private education, and commercial technology hubs.
Invest in Sharjah officials indicated that the digital rollout aligns with wider emirate-level strategies to simplify foreign market entry, shorten site discovery timelines, and support an increasingly diversified non-oil economy.
