According to reports from state media, the large-scale precautionary relocations include moving more than 500,000 people to safety within Zhejiang Province and over 100,000 residents in neighboring Fujian Province. The mass evacuations are part of rigorous emergency preparedness measures implemented by local governments to mitigate the impact of the incoming weather system.
Meteorological tracking indicates that although Typhoon Bavi is gradually losing its structural intensity and weakening, it still poses a significant hazard.
