Dubai-based carrier partners with major Indian financial institutions to offer monthly installment plans spanning 3 to 36 months.

NEW DELHI / DUBAI — Dubai-based international airline Emirates has officially launched an Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) payment facility for Indian travelers, allowing passengers to distribute their flight ticket costs over flexible tenures ranging from 3 to 36 months.

The premium airline introduced the flexible financing structure to ease upfront financial pressure on passengers traveling across its extensive global network from India. Under the new framework, travelers purchasing tickets via the official Emirates website or mobile application can choose to convert their total booking fare into monthly installments at the payment gateway.

According to the operational guidelines released by the carrier, the payment facility integrates seamlessly with credit cards issued by leading Indian banking and financial institutions. The available repayment tenures are structured into customized brackets—including 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, and 36 months—giving customers the autonomy to choose a repayment horizon that matches their personal cash flow.

Industry analysts note that India remains one of Emirates’ largest and most critical destination markets, with the carrier operating multiple weekly flights connecting key Indian metropolitan hubs to Dubai and onward global sectors. The deployment of consumer financing mechanisms aligns directly with post-pandemic aviation trends, where travelers increasingly prioritize flexible payment options to manage rising long-haul international airfares.

The installment program applies to all fare classes, including Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class, provided the ticket is booked directly through the carrier’s digital channels. Emirates confirmed that standard interest rates determined by the respective participating banks will apply to the chosen EMI tenures, with exact terms displayed transparently to consumers prior to finalizing the financial transaction.
