Seven leading entities bring Sharjah’s business, industrial, innovation and sustainability strengths together before investors from 191 countries

Dubai, September 08, 2026 : Sharjah presented the full spectrum of its investment proposition at AIM Congress 2026, bringing together the entities responsible for business setup, regulation, innovation, infrastructure and sustainability as the global gathering drew more than 25,000 participants from 191 countries to Dubai, from September 7 – 9.

The Sharjah Pavilion brought together leading entities from the emirate, including, the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI); Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), and its affiliate, Sharjah SME “RUWAD”; Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS); Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK); BEEAH Group; and Sharjah Investors Services Center (SAEED).

Quality investment for long-term growth
On the opening day, H.E. Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, spoke on a panel discussion titled “The Shared Prosperity Investment Playbook: The New Investment Standard for Global Leadership.”

He stressed that quality investments are determined by their long-term development metrics, including job creation, capacity building and stronger supply chains. He cited that in 2025, Sharjah attracted 142 investment projects worth AED 7.74 billion in 2025, and created 5,673 jobs, amongst which 75% of the new positions were filled. He also noted that 38,169 business licences were issued and renewed in the first half of 2026, representing a 2% increase compared with the same period in 2025, while real estate transactions across the emirate reached AED 29.5 billion.

Al Musharrkh attributed Sharjah’s growing economic resilience in part to strategic new projects strengthening supply chains, including the expansion of Khorfakkan Port to a capacity of 10 million containers, new trade routes with China and the development of the Al Dhaid logistics complex with Oman. The emirate’s infrastructure spans 21 industrial zones, seven free zones and three ports, supported by economic incentives that strengthen the emirate’s competitiveness and provide investors with a flexible and stable business environment designed to navigate global changes.

Bringing Sharjah’s investment strengths together

H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, said “SCCI’s participation in AIM Congress 2026 reflects its commitment to enhancing Sharjah’s business community and highlighting the
Emirate’s competitive advantages as an attractive business and investment destination, supported by its advanced infrastructure and supportive legislative and economic environment.

“The Chamber continues to support the private sector, expand its network of trade and investment relations, and encourage innovation and sustainability, further enhancing the competitiveness of the business community.” H.E. added

H.E. Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD and member of the Executive Council, said: “Sharjah’s participation in AIM Congress 2026 reflects a strategic vision that translates directives of leadership into action, fostering a resilient and sustainable investment environment attracting talents and capitals.”

“At SEDD, we are committed to providing investors with facilitation and regulatory incentives that meet their aspirations and unlock opportunities for growth and expansion into regional markets.” H.E. added.

H.E. Eng. Hamad Juma Al Shamsi, Chairman of SDTPS and a member of the Sharjah Executive Council, said “Sharjah’s participation in “AIM Congress 2026” reflects its commitment to strengthening its position as an attractive investment destination, supported by sustainable urban planning, infrastructure development, and a business-friendly environment.

H.E. noted that SDTPS plays a key role through advanced planning solutions, efficient land use, and investment project readiness.

H.E. Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SPARK, said: “Our participation in AIM reflects Sharjah’s vision of building a knowledge-driven economy powered by innovation and advanced technology. We are driven by a vision to convert innovation into high-impact investment opportunities and sustainable economic value. As the UAE accelerates its focus on AI and future technologies, SPARK is strengthening its role as a platform for attracting strategic investment and technology companies, connecting capital with R&D, markets and emerging opportunities.”

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, said “For years, Sharjah has shown that sustainability is not a trade-off against growth, but a catalyst for it. At BEEAH, we have helped translate this vision through solutions that build resilience, enhance quality of life, and move industries and communities closer to a sustainable tomorrow. With our partners at Invest in Sharjah, we look forward to driving that dialogue to inspire future-focused investment.”

Hamad Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the Sharjah Investors Services Center (SAEED), said: “SAEED’s participation in AIM Congress 2026 reflects our commitment to introducing our investor-focused services to the global investment community. Through the Sharjah Pavilion, we highlight integrated solutions that help investors complete business setup procedures with greater ease and efficiency, contributing to streamlined processes, an enhanced ease of doing business, and a more competitive investment environment in Sharjah.”

Throughout AIM Congress 2026, Sharjah’s participating entities held meetings and discussions with investors, business leaders and international partners, presenting opportunities across industry, technology, entrepreneurship, sustainability and business development. The pavilion also provided companies exploring entry into Sharjah, as well as those looking to expand their existing operations, with direct access to the government entities and investment partners supporting business establishment and growth in the emirate.
