The strategic visit recognizes Hotpack’s rapid multi-national expansion and its alignment with the UAE’s ‘Operation 300bn’ industrial vision following a major GII investment.

DUBAI: The UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, conducted a high-profile visit to the National Industries Park (NIP) manufacturing facility of Hotpack, the GCC’s largest manufacturer of eco-friendly packaging products, on Friday, June 26, 2026. The ministerial visit comes at a pivotal milestone as Hotpack enters an accelerated phase of global expansion, propelled by a recent strategic investment from Gulf Islamic Investments (GII).

The minister’s tour is viewed as a significant endorsement of Hotpack’s expanding footprint in advancing the UAE’s core industrial objectives. During his inspection of the state-of-the-art facility, Al Marri reviewed Hotpack’s technological advancements, multi-national operations, and its comprehensive sustainable framework aimed at expanding the production of green packaging alternatives.

Addressing the media during the visit, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri reiterated the UAE leadership’s commitment to fostering a competitive and highly sustainable business environment aligned with international best practices. “The nation is rapidly accelerating its industrial growth to solidify its position as a premier global economic hub. Developing sustainable industries and broadening economic partnerships are critical to scaling the reach of home-grown, ‘Made in the UAE’ products to new global export destinations,” Al Marri stated. He added that public-private collaborations remain foundational to boosting domestic output and securing long-term economic diversification.

Expressing his pride during the visit, Abdul Jebbar P.B., Founder and Managing Director of Hotpack, shared the company’s three-decade journey with the minister. “We are deeply honored to showcase our growth trajectory to the Honorable Minister. Today, Hotpack proudly operates manufacturing hubs across 17 countries and exports high-quality, eco-friendly packaging products to more than 100 countries globally,” Abdul Jebbar noted, emphasizing that the company is actively expanding its capacity to accelerate the global transition toward green packaging.

Hotpack’s leadership further stated that the brand remains dedicated to strengthening local manufacturing, generating high-skilled employment opportunities, and bolstering supply chains inside the Emirates, directly aligned with national localization targets.

Hotpack and UAE’s Operation 300bn: Established in Dubai in 1995, Hotpack has grown to become a global leader in manufacturing diversified packaging portfolios spanning plastic, paper, aluminum, and biodegradable materials. The company’s expansion strategy actively complements the UAE government’s ambitious industrial strategy, “Operation 300bn.” This national initiative aims to position the industrial sector as a major driver of the UAE’s sustainable economy, doubling its GDP contribution, boosting localization, and strengthening international supply chain resilience.
