Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls the strike a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, pledging full support and solidarity.
ABU DHABI — August 02, 2026: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned a hostile drone attack launched by Iran against Kuwait, describing the incident as a blatant violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty and a direct threat to regional stability.
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the UAE expressed its complete solidarity with the State of Kuwait and reaffirmed its full support for all security measures taken by Kuwaiti authorities to safeguard their territory and citizens.
“This hostile attack constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and poses a severe threat to its security, stability, and international peace,” the ministry declared, emphasizing that any aggression targeting a fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member state impacts the security of the region as a whole.
The condemnation comes following reports confirming that Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles targeted locations within Kuwaiti borders. Gulf security officials have heightened vigilance across strategic infrastructure and border entry points in response to escalating regional friction.
Diplomatic sources indicate that the UAE is maintaining continuous coordination with Kuwait and regional allies to assess the situation and coordinate unified responses through diplomatic and regional security frameworks.
