Residents across the UAE can expect noticeably cooler weather this week, with temperatures forecast to dip as low as 13°C, according to current weather predictions. While forecasts may still change slightly, a clear cooling trend is expected as the country heads into the final days of 2025 and welcomes the New Year.

Dubai Weather Forecast:

  • Monday, December 29: High 26°C, Low 20°C
  • Tuesday, December 30: High 23°C, Low 20°C
  • Wednesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve): High 21°C, Low 17°C
  • Thursday, January 1: High 22°C, Low 14°C
  • Friday, January 2: High 23°C, Low 16°C
  • Saturday, January 3: High 24°C, Low 16°C
  • Sunday, January 4: High 23°C, Low 16°C

Those stepping out for New Year’s Eve celebrations in Dubai may want to plan for cooler evening temperatures, especially after sunset.

Abu Dhabi Weather Forecast:

  • Monday, December 29: High 25°C, Low 20°C
  • Tuesday, December 30: High 23°C, Low 19°C
  • Wednesday, December 31: High 21°C, Low 17°C
  • Thursday, January 1: High 22°C, Low 16°C
  • Friday, January 2: High 22°C, Low 16°C
  • Saturday, January 3: High 23°C, Low 15°C
  • Sunday, January 4: High 23°C, Low 17°C

While festive outfits are a must, residents are advised to layer up, particularly during late evenings and early mornings.

Northern Emirates See Bigger Drop:
Colder conditions are expected in the Northern Emirates. Ras Al Khaimah is forecast to see temperatures fall to around 10°C on January 1, 2026, while Hatta, Dubai’s mountainous exclave, is also likely to experience similar chilly conditions.

Rain Update:
According to multiple forecasting platforms, the heaviest rainfall appears to be over for now. Following the recent rain across parts of the UAE, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has indicated a drop in temperatures, which is already becoming noticeable, particularly in the evenings.

As the year draws to a close, residents can expect cooler, more pleasant winter weather — perfect for outdoor celebrations, provided you bring a light jacket along.
