Dubai/Kochi, March 19:
IndiGo has resumed its flight operations to Dubai after a brief suspension, with a Kochi–Dubai service scheduled to operate today, the airline confirmed.

The resumption follows an announcement by Dubai authorities restoring flight movements to the emirate. IndiGo is among the first Indian carriers to restart services on the route.

However, Air India, Air India Express and Akasa Air are yet to resume their Dubai operations. Industry sources said services by these airlines would depend on operational conditions and slot availability in the coming days.

Meanwhile, UAE-based carriers — including Emirates, Etihad, flydubai and Air Arabia — continue to operate regular services to multiple destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Air India and Air India Express have planned a number of non-scheduled services to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, subject to approvals. Air India Express will operate special flights from Kerala airports, including Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, to select Gulf destinations, though Dubai is not included in today’s schedule.

Akasa Air is set to operate services between Mumbai and Riyadh from today, along with flights to Jeddah from several Indian cities. Its services to Abu Dhabi, Doha and Kuwait remain suspended until March 21.

Passengers affected by recent disruptions have been offered options to reschedule their travel or seek refunds, according to airline advisories.

The gradual resumption of services is expected to ease travel for passengers between India and the Gulf region in the coming days.
